Midland or BUST!

A bittersweet beginning... I had to leave my family home that I will never live in again

to be with the man that I will forever live with <3

It all started with an adventurous eight hour drive in a jam packed honda civic with good music and great company.

From getting lost in San Antonio to eating the greasy Stripes (gas station) burritos that stained Patrick's shirt and pants. We had a great time along the way and we made it to Odessa safely. When I walked into our apartment I was happily surprised to see that my wonderful fiance had bought us a Christmas tree (a naked tree might I add...but still perfect and so thoughtful) and put it up in our living room!

If an eight hour car ride wasn't enough to top it off we had to unload the car and then put EVERYTHING away. As tired as we were and wanting nothing more than to lay on the couch there was still a lot to do. And if I must say Patrick wasn't very happy about the large amount of clothes that I had and while he was putting EVERY piece of clothing on a hanger all he kept saying was "you have way too many clothes and you are NEVER going shopping again".

And on top of that he kept calling me a slave driver which was not very nice if I might add. I mean after all I did move up here for him the least he could do was help me put all of my stuff away! :) After a couple hours of organizing and a lot of whining we finally finished and treated ourselves to a nice dinner at Wall Street Bar and Grill.

DAY 2
YAY we get to sleep in...NOT! We were up at 8:15 and somewhat dreading the HUGE list of things that needed to be done. Not ready to get up and start the day we stayed in bed a little longer and watched a movie that we tried to watch the night before but only made it through about the first five minutes. We rented Bridesmaids and as weird as it was it was pretty freaking funny. Finally getting out of bed we got ready and were out the door by eleven ready to start our errands. By this time I was starving because I had to skip breakfast since all Patrick had in the house was a tub of butter and a pantry full of expired food that we bought when I was up here in January. Gross. So we went to this really yummy restaurant called the Smiling Moose deli and both had a buffalo chicken sandwich that was de-li-cious! Then we were off to Ashley furniture, Furniture Row, Rooms to Go, Target, Walmart and HEB. After many hours, several hundred dollars later and a packed car of brand new items we made it back home and added all of the new items to our apartment. While I made us our first meal together in the apartment I of course put Patrick to work and I must say he was a pretty good handy man!

Tonight on the menu: Homemade buffalo wings and thinly cut homemade frozen oven fries.
Directions: Heat oven to 450 degrees and cook wings for 25-30 minutes...WRONG! 15 minutes go by when I go to check on the wings and smoke is coming out of the oven like CRAZY! That oven frightens me. Note to self: Cook everything at half of the cooking time. After peeling the wings off of the now nicely burnt pan I served up our plates and both Patrick and I had no complaints. Our first meal together came out GREAT! And we had the perfect beverage to go with it...a nice ice cold Budlight!

Well thats all for now. We are off to relax on the couch and watch the Change Up.
