Teacher for a day...

This morning I woke up like every other morning and got ready for work. My daily routine was going quite normal until I got into my car. I was on my way to work and I guess I was in my own little world because I completely missed my exit. I started looking around not knowing if I had gone to far or if I hadn't gone far enough yet. All of a sudden I started seeing signs that said San Angelo take exit # ___. Well I started to second guess myself because even though I go to work the same way everyday I still do not pay that much attention to what is around me. All I know is that when I see the Walmart on my left my exit is next. Well this morning I didn't notice the Walmart. I soon realized I had definitely gone too far. And then when I FINALLY reached an exit all of the turns I would take to go back the other way were closed! I kept going and then I realized that I had driven 5 miles out of the way. So of course I was late. And out of all days today was not the day to be late due to my lead teacher being out for the day. So anyways I was kinda excited to get to play lead teacher for the day. My sub arrived and I explained to her everything that we do throughout the day. Well let's just say that I would have rather have not had a sub. She was no help at all! She kept wanting to take breaks! Then during our center time while the kids are playing I was trying to cut and color things to get ready for next week, and all this lady wanted to do was tell me her life story. Ummmm like I freaking care!! She showed me every picture of her kid on her phone and her husband. She also even showed me a picture of her and her husband on Halloween. Do I care to see what you were for Halloween last year? NO! She obviously wasn't getting the hint when I kept trying to put my head down and do my work! Then after nap time I was waking all of the kids up and what does she do? Sit on the freaking chair! So I had to have some of the kids help their friends get up. Oh and thennnnn I saw her writing on MY notepad a note to the teacher. When she left I read it and it said...She really enjoyed working with our Pre-K class and would love to come back again and then she left her sub number. HA! Like we are asking her to come back! I'd rather take on all of those wild kids myself then have her SIT in our classroom again. Crazy lady!

Anyways...on a brighter note! Our class picture came in today! I am going to make a copy of my teachers and then hopefully I can share it with you guys!

Well that is all for now because I smell my dinner burning in the oven....yikes!

Our past couple days

Hello everyone!
I know I have been M.I.A. lately but I have been busyyyy. I am trying to study for my certification in between talking to friends and family on the phone and watching my shows. :) So pretty much that leaves very little time for blogging. sorry.

Unfortunately Patrick had to work on Friday night, but I got to go hang out with my friends and meet new ones! We went to The Bar and had dinner and drinks and then headed off to a friends house and played some drinking games. I know drinking games are so for the college years, but when you don't have any good bars here you have to resort to other entertainment. Speaking of entertainment this past weekend Patrick and I went with some of our friends to the drive-in to see The Hunger Games!! If you haven't seen it you should. And if you haven't read it get busy and glue your eyes to that book!

Here are a few of my instagram pictures from this weekend.

So now onto the night I have had tonight.

On Saturday morning I woke because I felt a bug crawling on my eye. I immediately woke up and flicked it off. Well last night I was sleeping and felt something crawling in my hair. gross. This morning while I was getting ready I saw the bug on the ceiling, so I grabbed a shoe and KILLED it! :) I was so relieved thinking I finally killed it. Earlier this evening I was laying on the bed talking on the phone when I saw another one on the ceiling so I went to kill that one as well. As I went to hit it it hopped and then hopped again over to the window that is behind our bed. When I saw him there by the blinds I soon realized there were a TON of them!!!!! They were all over the blinds and on the windowsill. Take a good look...

*Note: This windowsill is behind our headboard. Therefore we never look back there. I don't want you guys to think we live like pigs because we don't. :) I sure was disgusted to find this though! And that is only one side of the windowsill. There was more on the other side. OH AND under the bed on the carpet. yuck! Let's pray that they don't come back from the dead while I am sleeping!

We've been revamped!

Yay! We finally got a blog make over thanks to Tricia Nae! And if you ask me I think it looks pretty freaking awesome!

Did everyone have a good weekend?? I was so glad that Patrick was off all weekend and we got to spend good quality time together! Yesterday we went to our friends apartment and celebrated St. Patty's/Bills birthday celebration. We cooked out and made fajitas! They were delicious going down...but not so great coming back up. Yup that is right I got sick last night. Twice I had to run to the bathroom and throw up! YUCK! I don't know what it was but something just didn't settle right. But all that matters is that I feel better today!

Today was back to work for me. :( I really enjoyed having my time off and I wish it would have been longer. I did miss my kids but I am still counting down until summer. 51 days to go! Wahoo!

Happy St. Patty's DaY!

HaPpY St. PaTriCk'S DaY!

Today may be the day of luck but yesterday was our lucky day! We got pre approved for a house!!! How exciting is that! Plus on top of that Patrick and I went to Abuelo's Mexican for dinner last night and we got fajitas. Since our tortillas took a long time to come out and we weren't complaining or anything, but the manager came up to us and told us we were getting our fajitas for FREE! Hollaaaa! Trying to see if our luck could go further last night I decided to buy a Mega Millions because the pot was 200 million! And if you may know we are

*WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNERS!!!*

No not really. Unfortunately our luck ended there. Wah.

Last night we had the chance to go to a drive-in movie! Freaking awesome!!! You pay $7 a person and you get to see TWO movies! What a freakin deal! We saw 21 Jumpstreet which was stupidly hilarious! And we saw Act of Valor which was badass! I give props to those guys! What they do for our country is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! No joke everyone should go see it!

Please excuse this beautiful picture of myself. Looking a little rough.

Since this was Patrick's three day weekend we decided to make pancakes for breakfast. Although the pictures I am about to show you may not look that appetizing it was! Thanks to my best friend Pinterest I got a recipe to make cinnamon roll pancakes. If the sound of that doesn't just make your mouth water I don't know what will. We may have had a few loud arguments between the two of us (because of me mostly :) ) but in the end our breakfast turned out to be delicious! I am usually the ONLY one that cooks in the kitchen, and I typically don't like when someone comes in and tries to take over. I really wanted to try and make breakfast WITH Patrick but I had a really hard time letting him do the work. But in the end it was all worth it! If I could have him cook with me all the time I would! :)

There is supposed to be cream cheese icing on it, but I didn't like the taste of it. To cream cheesy for me!

Although he is as cute as a button in these two photos it took us multiple shots trying to get one with his eyes open. As you can see we never reallyyyy got that. :)

Now that you have seen what our pancakes looked like... here is what they should actually look like.

So on to today...

It was such a beautiful day here today. It was a good dry 90 degrees! Perfect laying out weather, so that is exactly what we did. We went and hung out with our friend Kelsy at her apartment pool for a couple hours. Being as ghostly as I am right now I shouldn't have stayed out that long because I know look like Larry the Lobster. Not cool. And hurts. After a relaxing day at the pool we got ready and went to an extremely good dinner at The Garlic Press. YUMMO!

When we got home I prepared a few different things for our cook out that we are having with all of our friends tomorrow. I made Chuy's copy cat creamy jalapeno ranch dip and it actually does taste very similar to theirs! I also in spirit of St. Patty's day made rice krispie treats with lucky charms in it!

Well we hope everyone had a great St. Patrick's day and got to drink lots of green beer! And if you did get to drink green beer I hope you drank enough for me since I didn't get to! :(

Spring Break gone wrong

Today it is finally sunny and hot! All I wanted to do was a little bit of this...

And all I saw was THIS...

Who in the hell closes the pool during Spring Break!! When I went to go ask why it was closed they told me they hadn't gotten their permit yet and it would be closed until the summer! I swear I have more damn problems with the apartments up here its ridiculous! You would think they would have tried to get the permit just a little bit sooner.

Anyways last night when I turned on the T.V. and it just happened to be on Jay Leno. I saw the guest and had no idea who it was until I saw Jay hold up a magazine she was on the cover of. Then I realized it was Jessica Simpson. I don't know about you guys but I think she is HUGE (and I don't think just in the stomach)! I'd say she is about to POP any second! I worry about being pregnant after seeing her! I don't want my face to get that round! ahhhh!

She is out promoting her new show called Fashion Star which airs tonight!

It's not the kind of show that I would normally watch but heck what is one more show. I mean I only watch about 25-30 shows a week. No big deal! One more can't hurt! :)

New Adventures...

Being the GREAT friends that we are Patrick and I on Sunday afternoon went to go look at an open house for Ryan and Sara. I never realized how exciting looking at a house could be. Especially when you walk into the master bedroom and your mouth drops because you realize there are two large closets! To us right now a closet that is bigger than a tiny box (mine) and a hallway closet (Pat's) looks amazing! When I walked into the closet I soon realized that it was a wrap around and it connects to the other door. This closet had shelving and a dresser in it! I was in love.

Here's Pat posing in the closet! Nice face.

On Sunday we also went grocery shopping together. And as you may now know I am quite obsessed with those damn birthday cake Oreos, and I told myself that I was absolutely NOT going to buy another package for this week. HA! Who was I kidding?? I walked down the cookie isle just to see them and I quickly became upset. There were only the original Oreos! So I ran to the end cap where I found them last time and saw that they were all the originals, BUT on the very top shelf I found that there were ONLY 4 packages of the birthday cake left. So what do I do???

BUY ALL 4!

sike. No but really I HAD to buy at least one package. I mean duh!

Excuse the fact that I look like a hot mess.

Knowing this could be the last time that I get them again was sad and I wasn't about to pass them up. I mean I knew they were for a limited time, but I didn't know that they meant they would only be out for a freaking week! That shit CRAY! But no worries mom. I will still fit into that wedding dress. In fact I even hit up the gym today! And must you know I did a very hard and intense weight lifting/cardio class today. And I did complain to myself in my head when I found out that the class was an HOUR instead of 45 minutes. When it hit the 45 minute mark I was happy thinking it was over! Until the lady said "come on guys only 15 more minutes you can do this". UM WRONG! I couldn't do it! My arms felt like flubber. And just so you guys know I can barely type right now, because my arms are burning. And if I thought this could be true I would say my fingers even got a workout. Maybe it was from holding those weights too damn long. Let's just say it will be a while before I hit up that class again.

Anyways I am very excited that it is St. Patty's day this weekend!! So to get in the spirit I got green nails! Oh yea! And I LOVE them!

Okay, now I am off to watch the season finale of the Bachelor! Who will it be???

Team Lindzi!

SPRING BREAK!

YAY IT'S...

I am so excited to have a spring break again! Although the weather today was 35 degrees and rainy, and that is not exactly the weather that I want for my vacation! But it is the perfect weather for snuggling up on the couch. Today I went and bought Footloose! I love that movie and it just makes me want to get up and DANCE (although I didn't).

While I watched my movie I ate a buffalo chicken calzone that I made! It actually turned out to be really really good! And next time I make it I am just going to make it with pepperoni, cheese and sauce. And then OF COURSE I had some Oreos for dessert. I really had to stop myself from eating the last 4. I have been wanting Patrick to try them because they are so good, so I had to not eat the last ones so that he can have them. I am for sure NOT buying them again. I mean I do have a wedding dress to fit into and I have no self control it's ridiculous!

Look out, here comes the next Rachel Ray!

First I have to say EVERYONE MUST try the new birthday cake Oreos! I am not exactly the biggest fan of Oreos, but the package totally sold me! I probably shouldn't have bought them because I have almost eaten the WHOLE entire package in 3 days!
They are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!

Anyways on to my new favorite recipes! Thanks to Pinterest...I found two new recipes that I LOVE! First I made white chicken enchiladas with green chiles that were the bizzzzomb!

And then my new obsession was shrimp pasta! YUMMY!!!! Both of those recipes were so simple to make and to make it even better the shrimp was on sale last week!

Two of my favorite moments that had me laughing today at school:
1. Every morning we do our morning calendar and weather and we have a calendar helper (which this week happens to be my favorite child). We asked her to go look out of the window and tell us what the weather looked like today and in her little weather man voice she said "It's a little bit cloudy with some shaky flowers" haha it may not say really funny to you guys and it could have been one of those had to been there moments but I busted out laughing! It was too freaking cute!
2. Lately we have been having our afternoon snack in the cafeteria and before we go there I tell all of the kids to go to the restroom because they won't be able to go during snack. Well today I had a little girl ask me to go to the bathroom and I told her no. I said I had already told them that they weren't going to be able to go once we got the cafeteria, so she would have to wait until school was over. And then she told me that her stomach was hurting so I told her to not eat anymore of her snack. Well a little while after she asked me to go again and I said no again, and then she said with this very scared look on her face "my stomach is hurting really bad and the head is poking out!" lol I then of course had to let the poor little girl go.

I'm BACK!

Hello Blogger World!
Have you missed me??
(I know all of you are saying YES)

I have gotten really lazy lately and also I haven't really had much going on in my life that is that exciting to write about. Well until this past weekend. Patrick and I FINALLY got to go back home and see all of our friends and family! We were also able to celebrate the marriage of our friends Alan and Lacey!

We had such a great time and it was very exciting to see some friends that I have not seen in years!

On Saturday Patrick and I registered for our wedding! It was so exciting and fun! Although Patrick and I bickered a little about some things we were registering for. Most of the time when Patrick liked something and I didn't the little shit would wait for me to walk away and then scan the item! Then I would catch him and yell at him to delete it! lol Like this cow creamer...

ummm why would I want that???

Anyways I was very proud of Patrick for not complaining one time during the registering. I thought after three places he would totally be over it and start whining but he didn't! :)

On to the BEST part of the weekend...

After seeing many different pictures on Facebook and everyone talking about it I was finally able to get CRAWFISH! TWICE! And one of the times it was ALL YOU CAN EAT! It doesn't get much better than that! I was so happy and I can't wait to get it again next month!
