The end of 2011

Happy New Years Eve!
I have had such a great year and I know that 2012 is only going to be better!
In 2011 I...
-GOT ENGAGED!!
-Turned 24 years young
-Was lucky enough to go on multiple vacations
.Cruise to Mexico
.Napa
.Vegas
-I started a blog
-Moved to the middle of nowhere
-Got an AWESOME camera!
And for 2012 I hope that it brings me:
-a J.O.B.

Every year I pick a New Years resolution and they usually just crash and burn. Like working out for instance. That one almost always works for about a month and then I give up. But this year my New Year's resolution is to take better care of my body, and unfortunately that means working out. But I am going to try REALLY hard to do this one this year because...2012 is the year of my WEDDING! I have to whip my butt into shape so I can fit into that dress! I would also like to spend more time being the best fiance I can be and then of course best wife I can be when that special day comes. I have such an amazing fiance and he deserves nothing but the best that can come from me. <3 I asked Patrick to give me a list of his New Year resolutions and this is what the paper said that he put in front of me...
-Stack paper ($$$)
-Lose FIVE pounds
-Love Bri ( I know he already does this one BUT more love can never hurt)

Random...Here are some of the worst catchphrases that people think should be left behind in 2011

We hope everyone has a fun and safe New Years!

See you next year.

WE'RE MOVING!!

...from HOdessa to Midland!!
...not back home...sorry if we got your hopes up!
I just went and signed a new lease in Midland and we move in on March 9th. I couldn't be more excited! I feel so far from everything good living here in Odessa. We were able to get a two bedroom so if you want to come visit we would LOVE to have you!

Today I am going to try to work on everything wedding. :) We got our engagement pictures back and I am having such a hard time trying to pick out which ones to buy! Here are a few of my favorites:

I know thats not just a couple but it is SOOO hard to choose! I'm obsessed with all of them! I have to thank my 17 year old cousin Nikki for doing such an amazing job! She is truly so talented! Now that we finally got our pictures out of the way I can pick out our save the dates! Wahoo!!! I am also on the hunt for flower girl dresses today! I am trying not to be picky but it is really hard and there are sooo many dang dresses to choose from! Well I better get busy. Good news...Patrick gets to come home tonight!! YAY!

Home Alone

I have found myself home alone for the second time since I have moved here. It is now completely dark outside and I am pretty sure I have every light on in this apartment! Hopefully sometime soon I will get over being scared of being by myself. Since I somewhat had a feeling that Patrick wouldn't be coming home tonight I knew that meant that I didn't have to get out of my pajamas alllll day!! :) I know Pat isn't going to be happy hearing about that! This would make day 2 of me not getting out of my pjs! Yesterday Patrick came home only to find me laying on the couch in my new pajamas and with no make-up on! May I just add that this was about 4:30. I just couldn't get myself off the couch. There was a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and the OC marathon on and I needed to catch up!! When he walked in the door I thought he would be more than excited to see me in my pjs so that we could hop right into bed and catch some zZz's since he had to be to work at 1 in the morning! But NO...he called me a lazy bum and started chanting "UP, UP, UP" while he was in the bedroom opening and closing drawers and tossing WORK OUT clothes onto the bed. Ummmm working out is the LAST thing that I want to do after an exhausting day of sitting on the couch! After putting a fight I eventually agreed to put on the clothes and go for a run. He was all excited for us to go running together so that he could show me the HUGE houses that are in the neighborhood across the street. Sadly I made it all of about 10 minutes. The cold air made me feel like I couldn't breath and it was killing my throat! And to top it off I already had a cramp! Pathetic. All I wanted to do was turn around and walk straight back to the apartment. Didn't happen. Pat said that we could walk to get our exercise. Well my legs didn't feel like walking so they didn't go very fast. And all I did the whole time was complain. Of course! And by the way I walk everywhere in my life...I haven't lost a pound yet. So don't tell me walking is a workout, because my weight has just stayed the same. Finally he gave up on me and so we turned around to head back home. :) The best part of my workout was me running across the main street to dodge the cars. And that I did with a smile on my face! Thankfully Patrick didn't come home today to see me in my pajamas again because I could not face having to workout again. So what did all do all day? Well I applied for some jobs! Wahoo! Now that Pat would like to hear! I also caught up on a couple more Real Housewives and since our dvr decided to stop working I watched The Last Song with Miley Cyrus. I love that movie but I cry like a baby every time I watch it! Today I also I finished my FIRST book on my Nook, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo! I am so proud of myself for finishing this book in a week because it was definitely a very hard read!

It was actually really good and Patrick promised to take me on a date next weekend for dinner and movie to see it and I can't wait! I am going to start Hunger Games tonight! Everyone has been talking about how good that book is so I have to find out for myself!

Christmas Festivities!

It was a short trip but very good trip to Houston. We were lucky enough that Patrick didn't have to work Christmas weekend, so we were able to go home and celebrate with our families. I was able to join in on helping Patrick and his mom decorate cupcakes this year. And as you can see below Patrick and I had a contest of who could make the better snowman cupcake. And OF course I won!  :) His was evil looking! I was very thankful to be able to celebrate the holidays with my brother and his wife. I don't get to see them very often so I enjoyed the time I got with them and my absolutely adorable niece who dressed as Santa Paws this year. :) Also Patrick and I were able to celebrate Christmas eve with both of our families this year instead of splitting up. I was very happy that we could work that out. Overall we had a very good Christmas with our families and to top it off we got everything we wanted and more! After celebrating Christmas with three families it was time for us to go back to back to Midland :( I was VERY excited to see from the plane window that we had snow on the ground. Right when we got home I made Patrick get dressed so we could go play in the snow. We decided to make a snowman and to my surprise I found out that the snow was sticking!! I thought we were just going to make a small snowman like I have always done in the past, but once I started making a little ball I tried to roll it a little finding that it was picking up snow once I went along. I flipped out! I have never had the chance to make a snowman that was actually going to be bigger than a foot tall!! Patrick and I had a great time making a life size Frosty the Baker Hughes snowman!

Here is our Christmas weekend in pictures.
We hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas!

My NEW Camera!!

Before we get started....sorry for the very random post.

YAY! After days and days of going up to Best Buy we finally figured out how to get my pictures onto my computer! I love this new camera and it is one of the best Christmas gifts I have ever gotten, so I must thank my amazing fiance for buying it for me! I don't really know how to do anything cool on the camera, but that is okay I know how to turn it on and SNAP! Patrick and I have had quite a good time with it. We even had a little photo shoot....

What a SeX MacHiNe he is....

When we first got here I noticed that a lot of our neighbors had wreaths on their doors. So what do I want to do? Get a wreath!! After dragging Patrick ALL over this small little town to every fabric store they have (which is only two) and then back again because I ran out of fabric I finally made one! My first DIY project. It didn't exactly come out like what I had imagined in my head but it came out alright. The only problem is that it is now December 22nd and I have yet to hang it on the door. Everything I use to hang it up doesn't work, so it sits on our coffee table.

This year Patrick and I made our FIRST gingerbread house! Well it was actually more of ME making the house and Patrick eating the icing. Making a gingerbread house is NOT as easy as it looks. Our poor little house kept falling apart! The roof did not want to stay on, and Patrick wasn't very happy that I made him hold it in place the whole time while I decorated. :) But in the end it was all worth it and he ended up VERY happy, because I made Patrick's new FAVORITE meal. Crispy cheddar chicken. It was AMAZEBALLS! (Thank you Pinterest)
