Memorial Day Weekend

Happy Tuesday!
It's a short week this week! YAY!

I hope everyone had a great long Memorial Day weekend because I know I sure did! Luckily Patrick was off and we were able to go to our friend Clayton's lake house in Brownwood, Tx. It was crazy to see how low parts of the lake were. It is so sad that some people have lake houses and can't even use them because their lake houses are no longer on the water they are on land. Fortunately Clayton's house was at the end where there was water, so we were able to swim and layout right off of the dock. We weren't able to go out on the boat because it was getting de-winterized, but we still had a great time just hanging out and being able to get away for the weekend!

As much as I didn't want the weekend to be over it came to an end and we had to go back home. :( BUT good news for me (bad news for everyone else) this is my LAST week of school!! WAHOO! Today we practiced walking across the stage for Pre-K graduation! It was so cute and we even made them little graduation caps. Adorable. Tomorrow is FIELD DAY! I can remember how much I LOVED this day, BUT I CAN'T say that I am going to love it tomorrow when it is 103 degrees outside. I will be looking forward to the water gun game and a much needed snow cone!

Happy 2nd anniversary to my best friend Sara and her husband Ryan!

Our weekend!

What we thought was going to be nice peaceful weekend started out by being quite stressful. On Friday afternoon our realtor contacted me and told me that there was a house available that I would like and that I should go see it. I got off work at 3:30 and got to the house at 4 only to find out that it went on the market at 12 that day and by the time I got there 6 people had already looked at it! I knew immediately that this is the house that we needed to put an offer on right away. I left and called Patrick and suddenly became VERY frustrated! For someone who was all gung-ho on me going to look at it suddenly became very scared when I said we need to put an offer on it. Talk about being frustrated! This is the home that we had decided that we were going to build and why not take it now and save us the headache of building right? Well Patrick didn't really agree until.... 7 a.m. the next morning I get a text and he tells me he thought about it all night and that I was RIGHT (aren't I always? yes.) and that we needed to put an offer on it right away. Well lets just say his decision was ONE day too late! That damn house wasn't even on the market HALF A FREAKIN DAY and already sold! So now we are back to square one. building. And I have officially started designing my own home and can't wait to see the finished product! Now I know we live far away from our friends and family, but y'all are most definitely gonna wanna come out to good old West Texas to see this masterpiece!

See below for a sneak peek of our new house to come!

Now I know you guys may think YEA RIGHT but I think I most certainly deserve it! I mean why not build what you want the first time right? YES!

Onto the rest of our weekend! Patrick got off of work early on Saturday so we were able to have a date night...with a third wheel (Ryan :) ) We all went to go have hibachi at Osaka! Yummy!! Then we went to see what to expect when you're expecting which was freaking hilarious!

I loved it and it made me want kids EVEN more! Give me 7 months and I will be there (just don't tell Patrick...I don't think he's diggin that idea quite yet)! Then we went to have snow cones! And I got peach and red raspberry and my mouth was all red. And to top it off when we got home and got out of the car I was still eating it while we were walking to our apartment and our neighbors were out and wanted to chat. great. First time meeting some of them and I looked like a 12 year old eating my damn snow cone with red teeth. Awesome first impression right? At first I didn't think it was that bad considering it was dark out and they probably couldn't really see, BUT then we kinda got pressured into going into this guys house to hangout with them and have a beer. Now you know for sure they saw my red teeth. Embarrassing! And then the night got even weirder when the guy kept telling us that his door was always open and that we can come in anytime and if I am correct I think his exact words were "even if I am not home come on in and watch tv". And I am pretty sure Patrick's words when went back to our apartment were "now why in the hell would we go walk into his house and watch tv when we could walk up three flights of stairs and watch our own damn tv". I totally have to agree with Patrick! That guy was a total creep and he keeps trying to make plans to hang out with us! Can someone say swinger or what?!? I have never had someone try to hangout with us so much its weird.

Today Patrick FINALLY took me to see The Lucky One! I sure did love it. I mean who wouldn't love a movie with Zac Efron in it? He is a total sex machine (although Patrick you are of course a million times sexier)!

Looking forward to this week at school because we have a field trip on Friday! yay yaaa and then Monday off! Whoop!

T-minus 9 1/2 days until school. is. out. for. the. summer. HOLLA!

Sara I hope that you enjoy that I have finally blogged, so now you can stop telling me that I suck!
Thanks and Gig 'Em!

Howdy Y'all!

Howdy everybody!

The reason for my howdy is because this past weekend I purchased my FIRST pair of REAL cowboy boots! I finally fit in around here! The reason for this purchase was not only because I need them to fit in in west Texas, but also because we went to a banquet for the American Cancer Society on Saturday and you were supposed to wear them! SO of course I HAD to buy some (what a great reason right?) Thanks to my friend Clayton for inviting us to such a fun event! To get a table it was $350 dollars and that came with an awesome steak dinner and all you can drink! What is not fun about that? Also there were live auctions and of course everything I bid on was quickly replaced with a higher bid. :( We also participated in buying a $50 glass of champagne which by the way was Andre (about $6 a bottle). The catch to this was that each champagne glass had a diamond in it and out of the 200 glasses one had a REAL diamond in it worth $3,000. Unfortunately we did not have the real diamond. wa wa wa But we did donate to a good cause!

So that was pretty much the highlight of our weekend...now ONLY 18 days until school is out! WAHOO!!

My favorite bust out laugh of the day!

This is going to be short and sweet but I thought it was freaking hilarious so I thought I would share it with you guys!

Today our class was sitting on the carpet in their spots and we were trying to get them quiet to get ready for calendar. Well I hear one of my little girls say "Ms. Armstrong you look sexy when you sit like this...pause...in a swim suit." I immediately busted out in a laugh and I know I shouldn't have but it was too cute. The things that girl knows makes me feel sorry for her mom when she gets older.

Here is exactly how she sat when she told me this...

This is the little girl that has also told me that after I get married to Patrick he is going to fall in loveeee and we will KISS! And not only will we kiss but it will be on the LIPS! (caps is showing her excitement on those words) And then she also said that we would kiss naked... that is when I stopped laughing at what she was saying and told her that was gross and we don't talk like that! And she said okay and continued on that we were going to live happily ever after in our castle! Gotta love her! :)
